Six more COVID-19 patients have been discharged by the Lagos State Government, bringing the total number of patients discharged in the state to 61.
In a series of tweets via his twitter handle, @jidesanwoolu, on Monday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the patients were discharged from Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, after their full recovery and testing negative twice to #COVID19.
Sanwo-Olu, however, thanked all Lagosians for their continued perseverance and patience, especially at the critical time.
He said, “Good people of Lagos, Today, six more persons; one female and five males have been discharged from IDH, Yaba, after their full recovery and testing negative twice to #COVID19.
“This good news brings the number of patients who have been managed and discharged from our facilities to 61.
“For us, this is indicative of our will power to triumph in the war against #COVID19. We won’t be deterred until victory is achieved.
“I thank you all for your continued perseverance, especially at this critical time. This sacrifice of ours, I am most certain will not be in vain.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that over 5000 tests of COVID-19 have been conducted in Nigeria so far.
NCDC disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Monday.
“As at 09:10 pm 12th April, a total of 323 cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed out of over 5000 tests conducted in Nigeria.
“Our advice to Nigerians firstly is to receive & share information only from official health authorities such as @Fmohnigeria,@NCDCgov,” NCDC tweeted.
