Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of Aviation in Nigeria, has praised Bello Matawalle, Governor of Zamfara State for ‘destroying foreign Fulanis behind banditry in Zamfara’.
According to Fani-Kayode who enjoys a warm relationship with Matawalle, majority of bandits troubling Nigeria are non-natives. He also commented on the shutting down of telecommunications network in Zamfara state, which he posited “has dealt the biggest blow to the terrorists”.
“They are capturing and killing them in droves and many are surrendering. Most importantly those they kidnapped are being released in their hundreds,” Fani-Kayode wrote on his verified Twitter handle recently.
“Shutting down the telecommunications network in Zamfara has dealt the biggest blow to the terrorists. I commend the Matawallen Maradun and the security forces that are involved. The only answer to terrorism is to wipe out the terrorists.”
In another tweet, ‘FFK’ wrote with an accompanying video: “These are the foreign Fulani terrorists and killer bandits that are killing our people in Zamfara and Katsina states. They are not Muslims. They are not Christians. They are not Nigerians.”
