The Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo has reacted to his suspension from Union activities.
His spokesman, Jimoh Buhari, in a statement on Thursday, claimed that his principal has not received an letter to that effect.
POLITICS NIGERIA had reported earlier today that MC Oluomo was suspended by the NURTW national leadership in Abuja, for insubordination, misconduct and Incitement.
The 46-year-old was placed on an indefinite suspension “to prevent chaos as he was already inciting members against the Union, an act that is against the constitution of the organization”.
But reacting to the viral suspension letter, Buhari said told Punch: “As far as we are concerned, we are not aware of the suspension because we have not received any letter from the national leadership.”
“A leader of an organisation cannot be suspended on social media. MC Oluomo is going into a meeting at the moment and he is going to chair the meeting. He remains Lagos NURTW chair.”
Several Nigerians have reacted to the development with some expressing fears that violence will breakout all over the state.
