Nigerian security forces have continued to record more gains against all forms of criminality in the country.
The latest is the arrest of several criminal suspects with the recovery of large amounts of ammunition.
According to a reputable counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama, the suspected criminals were nabbed during a raid on Anka to a village known as Makakari in Zamfara state.
Sharing the news on his X handle, Zagazola, reputed for receiving credible security news on the military offensive in the region, said after the arrest, the forces recovered 441 rounds of ammunition from the suspects.
“Security Forces have apprehended several criminals and seized 441 rounds of ammunition during a raid from Anka to a village known as Makakari in Zamfara state,” Zagazola wrote.
He did not, however, provide many details as to when the raid was carried out and the specific number of those arrested.
He shared photos of a male and two female suspects.
The latest arrest and recoveries come a few days after the Nigerian military carried out a series of operations that killed notorious bandit commander Kachallah Buzu, bandit kingpin Baleri Fakai, and Ibn Kasir, amongst several other terrorists and bandits.
