The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), taken by candidates at the end of their junior secondary education.

A statement issued on Wednesday by Azeez Sani, the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, confirmed the development. According to the statement, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination, which covered 12 subjects.

The council disclosed that the examination was held between May 12 and May 23, 2025, and was successfully concluded across all participating centres.

She commended NECO for maintaining standards and transparency throughout the examination and result collation phases.
