Nigeria clinched their first victory in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) by defeating host Ivory Coast.
The victory came courtesy of a penalty kick converted by William Troost-Ekong, awarded after Victor Osimhen was fouled.
This win places Nigeria second in the group with 4 points, sharing the lead with Guinea-Bissau, while Ivory Coast sits third with 3 points.
