BREAKING: Nigeria records 3 new COVID-19 cases in Lagos

The number of coronavirus cases recorded in Nigeria has risen to 25 with three new cases confirmed on Sunday.

According to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the three cases were reported in Lagos state and have travel history to high-risk countries in the last 7 days.

“Three new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in #Nigeria

“As of 06:45 am on the 22nd of March, there are 25 confirmed cases of #COVID19 recorded in Nigeria.

“Of the 25 confirmed cases, 2 have been discharged, with no death.

All 3 cases were reported in Lagos State, and have travel history to high-risk countries in the last 7 days,” the centre disclosed via its official Twitter account.

NCDC announced that they are working closely with the Lagos State Ministry of health to identify and follow up with contacts of the new cases.

The centre, however, warned that those who returned to Nigeria from any country in the last 14 days, should stay in self-isolation.

The death toll of the pandemic has risen to 10,000 and the number of confirmed cases more than 250,000.
