Nigerian referees have been snubbed for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast in 2024.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) released a list of 32 centre referees, 33 assistant referees, and 2 VAR officials for the tournament on its website, but no Nigerian referees were included.
This is the 13th consecutive AFCON tournament that no Nigerian referee has been selected.
The tournament which is scheduled to start from January 13 to February 11 2024 will be hosted by Ivory Coast.
