The case of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been adjourned by the Federal High Court, Abuja, till 14 November 2022, pending the determination of the appeal court.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that following the denial of bail application on Tuesday, his legal team are expected to head to the Court of Appeal.
Speaking after the court session, the lead counsel to Kanu, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), said: “This case has been taken over by The Lord. The same God that delivered the Israelites from the Pharaoh in Egypt, that same God has taken over this proceeding. The same God of Paul and Silas.”
The legal luminary added: “We will continue to see one miracle one after the other, as we have been seeing in this case of Nnamdi Kanu.
“Kanu will be free. The question is which day? When? That is just the question, not whether he will regain freedom. Surely, he will be a free man, free as a bird. It is just that God’s time is the best.”
