The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that no individual is above the party following the threat by Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike to its governors.
The declaration was made by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, during a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
Recall that Wike recently threatened PDP governors, warning them against interfering in Rivers State party matters and vowing to “put fire in their states.”
Wike, the former Rivers State Governor, had boasted that he controls the PDP structure in the state and that no one can take it away from him.
Reacting, the party through Ologunagba stated, “What I can tell you is that nobody is above this party. It is the People’s Democratic Party.”
He further explained that the party has established reconciliation and disciplinary committees to address internal issues and that they will wait for their report.
