BREAKING: Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun Dissolves Cabinet

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has dissolved his cabinet three days before his first term as governor ends.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Abiodun dissolved his cabinet in preparation for his second term inauguration on May 29, 2023, in line with the provisions of the law.

During a valedictory State Executive Council meeting today, the governor announced the dissolution of the cabinet.

In a heartfelt speech, Abiodun expressed his gratitude to the appointees for their dedicated service to the state.

“Today, the 26th of May, 2023, I am regrettably announcing the formal dissolution of this executive council,” stated Abiodun.

Furthermore, the governor revealed that he had arranged farewell packages for the outgoing appointees, which the office of the secretary would provide.

“While I will miss each and every one of you, I encourage us to stay connected. We have fulfilled our promises to the best of our abilities. We cannot claim a perfect score as we cannot accomplish everything. However, I am immensely proud of what we have achieved,” he expressed.

Abiodun also hinted that some former appointees might be called upon to serve again, expressing confidence in their willingness to make themselves available.

“I extend my heartfelt thanks for your trust, belief in me, cooperation, and service to the state,” he added.

The governor expressed his gratitude to God for the fact that no member of the council had passed away during their time together.
