BREAKING: Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader, George Obiozor’s home burnt down [PHOTOS]

The Imo State home of Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader, George Obiozor, was reportedly burnt down early this morning by armed men.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Nigerian journalist, Chiagozie Fred Nwonwu, made this claim on his known Facebook page on Saturday morning.

Details of the attack on Obiozor’s house is still sketchy.

Obiozor’s house, destroyed

Obiozor is a Nigerian professor and diplomat. He was the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States.

He was Director-General (DG) of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, and also a one-time high commissioner to Cyprus. He was the Nigerian ambassador to Israel, from 1999 to 2003.

Obiozor was the Nigerian ambassador to the United States, from 2004 to 2008.

The septuagenarian was elected as the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo on Sunday 9th January, 2021.
