The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Agboola Ajayi has reacted to the disengagement of all his aides by the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Akeredolu and Ajayi have been at loggerheads for a while now with the latter defecting to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP last week. On Tuesday morning, Ajayi’s aides were fired by Akeredolu and asked to return all properties of the government in their possession.
The affected aides have now been re-appointed by Ajayi as Personal aides. In a statement seen by POLITICS NIGERIA, the embattled Deputy Governor, announced that the appointments are to take immediate effect.
“All my aides purportedly sacked by Arakunrin @RotimiAkeredolu are hereby reappointed as my personal aides. They are also directed to return all government properties in their possession to the appropriate quarters within 24 hrs.”
“His Excellency, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, deputy governor of Ondo State has appointed Mr Babatope Okeowo as Chief Press Secretary (CPS). The appointment takes immediate effect.”
“I have also appointed Allen Sowore as my media Adviser, his appointment takes immediate effect.” he wrote.
