The Osun state police command has successfully rescued passengers kidnapped along the Ibadan/Akure road on March 6th.
In a statement made available to POLITICS NIGERIA on Tuesday, signed by command’s PRO, Opalola Olawoyin, the police with support from other security outfits secured the release of the two abductees, the driver and one commuter.
The victims were released in the early hours of today, 9th March, 2021 owing to the pressure mounted on the abductors by the Police and other security agencies. No money was paid.
The Commissioner of Police appealed to the good citizens of the State to collaborate with them to get rid of all criminal elements from the State.
