BREAKING: “Our rally will go ahead” – Yoruba Nation reacts to attack on Igboho

The Yoruba nation group has stated that its planned Mega rally on July 3rd will go ahead as planned despite Thursday morning’s attack on the home of its leader, Chief Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho.

POLITICS NIGERIA earlier reported that Igboho’s home was attacked by armed men clad in military uniforms around 1 a.m on Thursday. Two people were killed and properties worth millions were destroyed.

Reacting to the development, the group stated that their planned mega rally will still hold.

Professor Bani Akintoye, one of the group’s leaders, has accused the Nigerian Army of being behind the attacks. He disclosed that the gunmen were clad in military uniforms and some of them spoke ‘french’.

He revealed that Mr. Igboho’s wife was also abducted by the attackers.

“The Assailants spoke French Language fluently. Seven people were killed by the attackers, with their corpses taken away. Scores of people, including the Wife of Chief Ighoho, were also taken away by the Gunmen.”
