The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, has stormed Benin, the capital of Edo state for the campaign flag-off of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, and his deputy, Barr. Kadiri Asamah.
Peter Obi arrived in the state on Friday.
Obi’s presence is expected to galvanize support for the party’s candidates as they face off against the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 21 election.
In May, State Chairman Kelly Ogbaloi inaugurated the campaign council, comprising over 30 committees working in tandem with the Sam Omede-led council.
