Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mangu Local Government Area following recent attacks that led to the loss of lives and properties.
Mutfwang, in a statement signed by his director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, on Sunday, July 9, said the resolve to impose the curfew came after consultation with the Government and State Security Council in other to restore law and order in the affected areas.
The governor added that movements within the Local Government Area have been banned, except for security personnel and persons on essential duties.
Security agencies have also been directed to ensure total enforcement of the curfew.
This is coming after not less than 12 persons were confirmed killed in the Sabon Gari community of Mangu, with some houses also razed down following a fresh attack on Sunday.
