The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the closure of the National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was learned that the IGP directed the FCT Commissioner of Police, to seal off the APC secretariat over the leadership crisis rocking the ruling party.
Adamu also directed the APC Chief Security Officer to instruct members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party not to enter the headquarters.
According to a police source, the order was necessitated by the need to ensure public order and safety in and around the secretariat.
However, the IGP will be meeting with the two camps of the party NWC at the Force Headquarters by 1pm to discuss the various court order made available to the party.
