BREAKING: Police spokesman Adejobi transferred to Delta state

Prince Muyiwa Adejobi, the public relations officer of the Nigeria Police Force, has been removed from his post at the force headquarters in Abuja.

According to Sahara Reporters, Adejobi’s deputy is expected to take over as he proceeds to the Delta state command.

Adejobi, who for years served as the public face of the police, leaves behind a trail of scandals.

At the Force Headquarters, he was reportedly accused of repressing social media users, shielding the institution from accountability, and serving as a blunt instrument against dissent.

Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju petitioned the United States embassy, asking it to revoke Adejobi’s visa over allegations of repression and abuse of office.

Reacting to his removal, activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore described Adejobi as “one of the worst policemen ever recruited into the Nigeria Police Force”.

“His conduct is not just a personal failure, it is a testament to the rot within the system that rewards mediocrity, dishonesty, and shamelessness while punishing integrity,” Sowore said in a post on X.
