BREAKING: Police take over Ajimobi’s residence in Ibadan

Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have reportedly surrounded the Ibadan residence of the late former governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi.

It was learned that the police arrived at the Agodi residence of Ajimobi on Sunday morning over the disagreement between the state government and the deceased family on the burial site.

This newspaper gathered that the state government refused to approve the burial site for the former governor due to litigation over ownership.

As at the time of filing this report, two police vehicles, a Hilux patrol van of the State Anticrime outfit, Operation Burst, and other security agencies surrounded the house.

It was also learned that the police operatives are there to prevent any possible disobedience or likely forceful entry into the property by the family or close associates of the former governor.

More to come…
