Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Friday teargassed and arrested some #EndSARS protesters who returned to the street of Abuja to call for an end to police brutality.
The protesters resumed their protest in front of the National Assembly complex and painted #ENDSARS graffiti on the road to remind the federal government of their demands.
However, they were dispersed by men of the Police who used tear gas on them and arrested about four of the protesters. The security operatives also reportedly beat the arrested protesters.
In one of the videos shared online, the policemen threatened to shoot at the protesters who then started to run for their lives. As of the time of filing this report, all the roads leading to the National Assembly complex had been restricted.
Breaking: @PoliceNG illegally dispersed #EndSARS peaceful protesters with tear gas after protest resume at the National Assembly Abuja this morning. We condemn this illegal act by the Police as demonstrating peacefully is a fundamental right. #RevolutionNow pic.twitter.com/Aqsovwhpr9
