Police and youths have stormed the All Progressive Congress (APC) Secretariat in Makurdi, Benue state capital, and set up a blockade.
The sudden takeover comes ahead of an APC caucus meeting scheduled for Thursday, led by Comrade Austin Agada.
It is understood that another faction of the party, led by Benjamin Omakolo, has also scheduled a rival meeting for today to finalize arrangements for the upcoming Local Government elections.
It should be recalled that the Benue State Independent Electoral Committee (BSIEC) announced October 5 as the date for the Local Government polls in Benue state.
