Music entrepreneur, Jamal Edwards is dead, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
Edwards was the proprietor of SB.TV, an online urban music platform.
He started SBTV in 2006 as a teenager and has grown the YouTube channel massively.
The careers of some of the world’s most successful musicians – including Ed Sheeran, Dave and Jessie J in a long list – were launched through SBTV.
Edwards, born in Luton, England, was appointed a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to music in 2014.
The deceased was the son of Loose Women presenter, Brenda Edwards.
Edwards’ company confirmed the news of his unexpected demise on Sunday evening.
His cause of death is yet to be determined, and comes just days after he attended the 2022 Brit Awards.
