BREAKING: Popular Nigerian Pastor dies 3 weeks to 50th birthday [PHOTO]

Pastor Ezekiel Atang, the Lead Pastor of God’s House of Refuge, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is dead.

POLITICS NIGERIA learnt that Pastor Ezekiel died on Monday evening.

Jonathan Atang, a brother to Pastor Ezekiel confirmed the news on Monday night with a cryptic Facebook post which he later deleted.

The preacher was said to have gone into coma before giving up the ghost. His death has also been confirmed by fellow pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo on Facebook.

“My brother and my friend, my partner in family life mandate to the body of christ. You left an indelible mark, and unforgettable legacy, you spoke with clarity and conviction, loved by all, we will definitely miss you.”

“I received the invitation to your 50th birthday celebration same day you went to be with the Lord. I’m happy I spoke to you and saw you a few days before you went to be with the Lord, we love you – you will never be forgotten on this side.”

He was 49, and would have been 50 in three weeks time.

An indigene of Ikot Udota in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Ezekiel served under the ministry of a spiritual mentor for fifteen years before starting his own, precisely on the 16th of April 2006.

He was an International Relationship expert, author and speaker. He was the founder and CEO of Fresh Wine for Couples International.

He was also the facilitator of Singles Frank Talk, which is known for drawing upward of 6-8,000 youths monthly.

He was the author of the best seller “Understanding Sex” including other books like; Lord, I’m still single, why? The marriage parable, Overcoming Masturbation, Sex and Destiny, Communication without Contention, and Transforming your marriage in 40 days.

Pastor Atang is survived by wife, Dr. Dara who pastors with him in the ministry and their union is blessed with 3 children, Levi, Olive and Ephraim.
