Amaechi Muonagor, born in Idemili, Anambra State, was a Nigerian actor and producer. In 2016, he earned a nomination for the AMVCA 2017 Best Actor in a Comedy category.

Early Life

Amaechi Muonagor hailed from Obosi village in Idemili North, Anambra State, Nigeria. He received his early education at St. Mary’s Primary School, Obosi, and Oraifite Grammar School before pursuing a degree in Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), graduating in 1987.

Career

Following his youth service in 1989, Muonagor ventured into acting, leaving his job at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for his debut role as Akunatakasi in “Taboo 1,” a Nigerian movie.

Personal Life

He was married and blessed with four children.

In 2015, Amaechi, alongside other Nollywood stars such as Chinyere Winifred and Ebere Okaro, celebrated Dr. Chris Eke’s 40th birthday at Word and Spirit Assembly, Ijegun Lagos, commemorating the occasion with inmates of the Kikiri Maximum Prison and children at the Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice orphanage home. In 2020, he spoke out about sexual harassment, asserting its prevalence across various professions.
