Kauran Katsina, who is the head of Rimi town, Alhaji Nuhu Abdulkadir, has passed away.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Alhaji Abdulkadir died on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was the right-hand man of the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
He died after a brief illness at his residence in Rimi Local Government Area (LGA) of the Katsina state.
A member of the family, Alhaji Aminu Nuhu Abdulkadir, confirmed the traditional ruler’s demise in the early hours of Tuesday.
He would be buried later today, at 2 PM, according to Islamic rites.
Before his demise, Alhaji Abdulkadir was among the four kingmakers of the Katsina Emirate Council.
Moments after news broke of his passing on Tuesday morning, social media was inundated with messages of grief and condolences. Politicians and indigenes are among those sending their sympathy.
