Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has landed in Haneda Airport, Yokohama, Japan for the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
The conference themed ‘Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future’, is scheduled to hold in Yokohama from August 28 till August 30, 2019.
President Buhari will reside at the Park Royal Hotel reserved for Heads of state and government attending the conference.
The conference is expected to focus on Africa’s “economic transformation and improvements in business environment and institution through private investment and innovation; promotion of resilient and sustainable African society for human security; and peace and stability in support of Africa’s domestic proactive efforts.”
The President is accompanied by Governors of Kwara, Borno, and Lagos states for the conference.
