President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday confer with security chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This is according to a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA signed by media aide, Garba Shehu.
The President returned to Abuja last Friday after 18 days in London, during which he attended an education summit and did health checks.
The statement read in part: “The security forces have in the past few weeks taken the battle more robustly to insurgents, bandits, and all other criminals troubling the country, and they are now surrendering in droves.”
“The President will be brought up to speed on developments at the Thursday meeting, while plans to bring a decisive end to the challenges will be formulated.”
Several Boko Haram members and Bandits have been surrendering to the Nigerian Army and pleading for the forgiveness of Nigerians. A larger section of the country has, however, called for their immediate prosecution and subsequent incarceration.
There is nothing like surrendering to Nigerian army, these people are animals and by doing this u don’t know what there are planning next, killing and abducting innocent people and all of a sudden there just repented, I will never believe it. In my opinion there should be persecuted immediately because the lives there have put in the ground can no more be counted, remember these people are not bandits but terrorists and should be treated like one. As ipob has been termed terrorist group just for demanding there freedom but people who make u sleepless at night are termed bandits(boko harm) then that means u are a fool for thinking so. What is happening in Afghanistan today might be the future of Nigeria tomorrow if we don’t stop it now, these people are planning something bad, stop patronising this terrorist and prosecute them. If u keep welcoming them then there will have the mindset of ( is it not after I kill as many people as I want I will be given amnesty by the federal government)giving them amnesty means that u are supporting what there are doing. Fg please stop giving the devil a way into our country. The Lord is watching u all, remember that.
Is a welcome development, we’re solidly behind the current all the tri service chiefs. Had it been that was done from the beginning Nigeria wouldn’t have being in this state of trouble. Our sincere gratitude to both the army, Airforce, and the naval personnel, also we can not ends this prayers with out remembering the efforts of the Nigerian police and the SSS for giving their own quarters for the good successes.
Too late sir, kill all of them
They killed some of my brothers, they have no forgiveness here because the law in the Bible Says thou shalt not kill and if you kill you will be killed àlso. In heaven they will be killed also.
