President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he will be interfacing with the country’s leadership on diplomatic issues.
President Tinubu, who departed the capital of India, New Delhi, landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport on the night of Sunday, September 10.
Nigeria’s relationship with the UAE became strained when the Emirate authorities slammed a visa ban on Nigerians after Emirates Airlines suspended flights to the country in October 2022.
The UAE, by that action, was reacting to the failure of Nigeria to repatriate billions of dollars trapped as funds belonging to Emirates Airlines.
The airline called for a ‘committed strategy’ by the federal government to enable foreign airlines operating in the country to repatriate their funds.
But President Tinubu started mending relations with the country, which has become a choice destination for many Nigerians.
