Former Lagos State Governor and President of the country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has departed from Lagos to the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, the seat of the country’s executive arm.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that throughout his stay in the nation’s commercial capital, he resided at his Lagos residence.
This development comes following his active participation in the recent Eid festivities. Alongside fellow Muslims, Tinubu offered prayers at the Obalende Eid Prayer Ground, situated in Dodan Barracks on Victoria Island, Lagos, this past Wednesday.
The Eid celebration came on the heels of President Tinubu’s return to Nigeria after concluding official trips to Paris and London. He arrived back in the country last Tuesday.
President Tinubu received a visit on Saturday from President Embalo, who also serves as the Chairman of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government.
During their meeting, President Embalo expressed admiration for Tinubu’s noteworthy policy initiatives in the past month. He commended the Nigerian leader for the significant progress made, which has garnered international acclaim. President Embalo acknowledged the positive impact of Nigeria’s recent advancements and emphasised the country’s crucial role in African affairs.
President Embalo stated, “Nigeria is being closely watched, particularly within Africa and the ECOWAS region. President Tinubu is fully prepared to take on the challenges ahead.”
There are speculations that President Tinubu will submit his list of ministers to the Senate for approval tomorrow.
