Professor Balarbe Maikaba of Faculty of Communication, Bayero University is dead. POLITICS NIGERIA learnt this from a statement signed by Dr Ashir T. Inua, a member of the Faculty.
He said the erudite professor of Mass Communication died today.
Dr Inua said, “Professor Balarabe Maikaba. We love you and Allah loves you more than we do. We lost you, Professor. May Allah forgive your sins and accept you as His obedient servant.”
It’s currently unclear if the Professor died from COVID-19 but a close source revealed he died after a brief illness.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that funeral prayers would be observed after 4.00 pm on Sunday at his family house in Fagge, close to Plaza Cinema, Kano metropolis.
