The organisers of the planned #EndBadGovernance protest, scheduled for August, have turned down a proposal by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, for a confined protest.
At a meeting on Tuesday, the IGP suggested that the protest be held in designated locations, advising against street rallies.
However, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a lawyer representing the Take It Back Movement, one of the groups organising the protest, rejected the IGP’s proposal.
