BREAKING: Protesters storm Kano, kick against planned military intervention in Niger

Some protesters have taken to the streets in Kano State to kick against the imminent use of force to resolve the Niger coup crisis.

Politics Nigeria recalls that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) had directed military forces of the member states to be on standby.

The protesters on Saturday embarked on the demonstration to show their displeasure at the planned military invasion of Niger Republic.

While moving in a procession, they chanted, “Nigeriens are our brothers; Nigeriens are also our family.

“Niger is ours; we don’t want war; war against Niger is injustice, a plot by the Western forces.”

They displayed Nigerian and Nigerien flags alongside placards, chanting anti-war catchphrases.

This followed an intense call from different quarters, especially northerners who believe that Nigeriens are neighbours with whom they share things in common.

  1. Tinubu is the synonym for bad luck. Every step he takes, even with his good intentions, turns out hurrible and bad. He has destroyed Nigeria quicker compared with Buhari. And he has cornered ECOWAS and wants to finish it in the shortest possible time. What a pity.

  2. Mahmood Abubakar, the INEC Chairman is responsible for whatever that happens to Nigerians. Their blood will be on his head, and the heads of his generations, for foisting this demon called Tinubu on Nigerians, and for all evil policies Tinubu brought which brought suffering and death to Nigerians. And any justice of the Tribunal and Supreme Court that will deliver unjust judgement that will definitely perpetrate the suffering of Nigerians under Tinubu, will bear the consequences of the blood of Abels in the country.
