The Rivers Assembly has confirmed the nominations of four esteemed individuals to serve as commissioners in the State Executive Council.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that these nominees previously held commissioner positions during the tenure of Nyesom Wike, the former administration.
The confirmed commissioner-nominees are as follows: Professor Chinedum Mmon, appointed as Commissioner for Education; Professor Zacheaus Adango, entrusted with the role of Attorney General; Isaac Kamalu, taking charge as Commissioner for Finance; and George Keli, assuming the responsibilities of Commissioner for Works.
This announcement comes shortly after the peaceful transition of power from Nyesom Wike to Siminalayi Fubara, both members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on May 29th.
