Four new commissioner nominees have been screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday, October 7.
The confirmed nominees including Israel Ngbuelu, Evans Bipi, Otamiri Ngubo and Benebo Anabraba were also presented by the Rivers State governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Reading a letter sent by the governor to the House, the Speaker, Victor Oko-Jumbo, listed the names of the nominees.
Also the leader of the House, Sokari Good-boy, noted that three of the nominees were former lawmakers of the state and therefore urged his colleagues to allow the nominees to take a bow before the plenary.
Furthermore, the House of Assembly screened the fourth nominee before announcing a confirmation of all them while they were urged to ensure they bring their wealth of experience into serving the people.
