BREAKING: Rivers state lawmaker reverses defection, returns to PDP

Hon. Linda Somari Stewart, the lawmaker representing Okrika in the Rivers State House of Assembly, has reportedly made a U-turn on her earlier defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to reports from the south-south state, Stewart has officially returned to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Her return to the PDP places her firmly within the camp of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the state leader.

The reversal marks a significant political move within Rivers, potentially altering the dynamics and alliances within the state’s political landscape as the crisis between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, continues.

Stewart’s decision to rejoin the PDP comes after her initial departure from the party, indicates that the governor is gradually gaining grounds in the state.

  1. Good for her and the people she represents. All those 26 remaining defactors will eventually regret their actions just like three members of Nwikes G-5 did. Nwike can never lead you to a safe landing . He only uses people to achieve his selfish goals.

  2. Mmmm. This is laughable anyway. All of them who defected must come back if they don’t, which means their position will be vacant. And if there’s a rerun, there’s likely hood that they will not be reelected.
They are mature men and women with families. Why are they allowing themselves to be pushed by Wike?

  3. Your seats has been declared vacant and an election to fill the vacant seats is on the way. But you are welcome to PDP

  4. What prompted her to defect in the first instance. She wouldn’t have joined other political harlots. They want to Rivers State to go back to violent state

  5. It is really Wonderful that the political trend in RIVERS STATE is taking a twist and the end is just unpredictable…

  6. Does people that treating to leave the pdp in Rivers even do they decided to come back to party they should not be trusted again in the party.

  7. Wike is making a fight that he must loose, He can’t be god to anyone. Yes might claim to have made Fubara politically, but somebody made him as well. Life is just that, the way I see Fubara going, he is on the right track, and we in Rivers State support his administration. This battle will end in shame to wike.
