For the first time since he was elected governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has met with his predecessors, Akinwunmi Ambode and Babatunde Fashola.
The trio met at a reception organised in honour of President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Thursday.
In a tweet by Gbenga Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to Sanwo-Olu, this the first time in four years the three men will be gracing the same event.
“Breaking: Governors Fashola, Ambode, and Sanwo-Olu meet at the Lagos House, Marina for the first time in over four years at a reception organised by Governor @jidesanwoolu in honour of President @officialABAT, who’s in Lagos for Sallah celebration,” Akosile said.
Before this meeting, Sanwo-Olu had paid Ambode a visit during his birthday party, a gesture that was celebrated by many Lagosians.
Politics Nigeria reports that Fashola handed over to Ambode in 2015 after the completion of his constitutional two-term in office while Sanwo-Olu took over from the latter in 2019.
