BREAKING: Senator Natasha Gains Access to National Assembly After Initial Denial [VIDEO]

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has gained entry into the National Assembly complex in Abuja after initially being barred by security operatives stationed at the gate.

The Kogi Central lawmaker had earlier declared her intention to resume plenary following a Federal High Court judgment which ruled her suspension “unlawful and excessive.”

She is currently under a six-month suspension by the Senate.

Upon arrival at the National Assembly premises in a black SUV, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was halted at the entrance by security personnel. Her vehicle, along with that of rights activist Aisha Yesufu, who was accompanying her in solidarity, was denied access.

Moments later, the senator stepped out of her vehicle and proceeded to walk into the National Assembly on foot.

A video clip of the development shows her being flanked by her supporters.

  1. Thank God for her bold step. I encouraged that and I wish our society should be free from all forms of intimidation and discrimination.

  2. Arrogant woman, if they start to follow you up the way you are behaving by now that your beautiful lovely face would have swollen. Nobody dey too big for Nigeria oh…!!!

    1. U.ar very right. I don’t know why she can’t be arrested with d violation of court judgement and Senate rules. The court only ruled dat d Senate sud use its powers accordingly with regards to her suspension not dat d Senate acted in error.

    2. Am surprised how people mistook someone who claim her lawful right as arrogant. What is right is not always a justice. What is just is not always right. But judgement of the court should always be obey. And our Judges should always be fair to the parties by deliver a good judgement, thanks

    3. You are fool for this immature statement, they are molesting a woman, this is all you can say because your type that is how you beat your wife and get her face swollen, if you have nothing sensible to contribute shut up, is that thief called akpabio bigger than the constitution of Nigeria, he can’t suspend an elected representative indefinitely

    4. Follow her up with what? So you are happy with the humiliation she’s going through in your uncles hand? God pass all of you.

    5. God punish you, the injustice they did to her in the national assembly, that’s what you people are defending, she is only exercising her right as a citizen after the court ruling, if you don’t know how to talk next time, keep quiet, no body is a slave in this country

    6. Why are always insulting in your approach to issues bordering on national affairs especially if it affects those in authority . Even if you acting base on sentiment or directed, you must learn to act with wisdom and tact. A word is enough for the wise.

    7. You must be stupid for using that word, is the national assembly bigger than the court of the land

  3. This is kind of citizens Nigeria need now because few individuals feels that Nigeria belong to them alone.

  4. She’s doing the right thing. This is supposed to a democracy. How can you suspend a senator which in turn suspend her constituents. Nigerian democracy really SUCKS

  5. Some people are idiots, you call our senator an arrogant woman? your entire family and your generation unborn are arrogant.
