Alpha Conde, the President of Guinea has been overthrown in a Military Coup, POLITICS NIGERIA has gathered.
Heavy Gunfire was heard on Sunday morning at the Presidential Palace in Guinea’s capital, Conakry. Reliable sources reveal that an elite national army unit led by a former French legionnaire, Mamady Doumbouya, was behind the unrest.
However, images emerging from the Presidential palace indicate that Mr. Conde has been overthrown and has possibly been placed on house arrest.
The 83 year old dictator was seen seated clad in a shirt and jeans with some buttons undone. He appeared visibly miffed and unhappy about the situation.
Conde won a controversial third term in October after changing the constitution to allow him to stand again despite violent protests from the opposition.

The country is under democratic rule, they should return to civilian Government. So, the army was meant to be at a warfare/ borders and not involved in any political office Holder
Nigeria was almost a victim of democratic dectatorship under formal president Obasanjo thanks to God for using vice president Atiku Abubakar to scuttle that evil third term gander, nevertheless, the military should as a matter of urgency return leadership to a democratic elected government.
Infact why this not happens in NIGERIA government?
