Three southwest governors, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), converged in Ibadan on Tuesday, October 24, to meet with their Oyo state counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde.
The Nation reports that the governors arrived separately at the Oyo State government Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, where Governor Makinde warmly received them in his private office.
Notably, Governor Sanwo-Olu arrived via a chartered helicopter before joining his fellow governors for the meeting.
Following their arrival, the four governors held a brief private meeting at the Oyo State governor’s office before departing.
As of the time of this report, the specific purpose of the governors’ meeting, apart from visiting their Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu, was not clear.
The nature of the discussions and the agenda of this important gathering are yet to be disclosed.
