Nigeria’s Apex Court, the Supreme Court has struck out an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last presidential election.
The appeal marked SC/738/2019 was filed against a ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), in which it held that the Atiku and the PDP do not have a reply to an application filed on May 14, 2019, by the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking among others, the dismissal of their (Atiku and the PDP) challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the last presidential election.
In a ruling on Tuesday, a five-man panel led by Justice Datijo Mohammed struck out the appeal for having become statute-barred.
It will be recalled that Atiku and President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have been locked in a bitter legal battle over the 2019 General Elections.
More to come….
Atiku should wait for next election
we already know the outcome on before now…God will have mercy on this country.
Atiku is guilty of all the allegation of election malpractices he alleges . We all know both parties are into election fraud. This is what we know PDP for, but this time around APC beat them to their game.
Let ATIKU wait for 2023 this is BUHARI tenure
As much as Atiku wanted rule Nigeria, why is he continue to hold the country hostage for his self interest and Nigeria already favored him tremendously in so many ways. He should go and enjoy all the money he acquired through corruption. Nigerians are not stupid to give him another chance.
