Officials from the State Security Service (SSS) have reportedly barred officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from entering their shared office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a group of EFCC officials stationed at the office on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, were barred from accessing the building by SSS officials.
Heightening the tension, an armoured tank was allegedly deployed to intimidate the EFCC team.
“One EFCC official confided, ‘They even placed an armoured tank just to scare us away,'” disclosed a source within the anti-graft agency, Premium Times reports.
Sources familiar with the matter revealed an ongoing rivalry between the two agencies regarding the ownership of the office building.
