The case against suspected killers of Timothy Adegoke has been discontinued in Abuja.
POLITICS NIGERIA sighted the letter written to that effect on Monday, and officially assented to this morning (Tuesday).
It is understood that the arraignment of Timothy’s killers will take place soon in Osun state, where the incident happened.
Recall that the complainant recently hired legal luminary, Femi Falana (SAN) as one of the family lawyers.
Timothy Adegoke is the Masters student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, who died controversially on November 6, 2021, at Hilton Resort, Ile-Ife, owned by millionaire, Rahman Adedoyin.
In a letter dated February 3 and signed by the deceased’s father, Moses Adegoke; his brother, Olugbade Adegoke; and the deceased’s wife, Victoria Adegoke, the family had expressed their confidence in newly-hired Falana’s competence.
The suspect, Rahman Adedoyin (owner of the hotel), is being charged for unlawful interference, while the other six accused persons are to face charges bordering on various offences including murder, conspiracy, altering receipt, among others.
Charged alongside Adedoyin are: Adedeji Adesola, 23; Magdalene Chiefuna, 24; Adeniyi Aderogba, 37; Oluwale Lawrence, 37; Oyetunde Kazeem, 38; Adebayo Kunle, 35, and others who are currently at large.
