[BREAKING] Timothy Adegoke: Defendant slumps in court [PHOTOS]

Justice Adepele Ojo, the presiding judge in the murder case of Timothy Adegoke, a post-graduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-ife, Osun State, who was found dead in his hotel room in November 2021, has stood down the case.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that proceedings into the murder trial was relaxed on Monday morning after one of the accused, Magdalene Chiefuna, exhibited sickness signs.

The trial is ongoing at the Osun State High Court, Osogbo, with the owner of Hilton Hotel, Rahmon Adedoyin, the prime suspect.

At the resumed trial today, the prosecuting and defence counsels were arguing over the propriety of handing over the case to the Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), when Chiefuna, 24, suddenly slumped.

She was coughing repeatedly. Court clerks quickly attended to her.

Justice Ojo subsequently adjourned the matter briefly to allow the defendant to be attended to.
