President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of two new heads of agency and parastatal.
This was contained in n a terse statement seen by Politics Nigeria on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
According to the statement, Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will head the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) as its managing director/CEO.
Similarly, Akutah Pius Ukeyima has been appointed to serve as the executive secretary of the National Shippers Council (NSC).
Oyebamiji, the new NIWA boss hails from Osun State. He is a Nigerian banker, economist, public administrator and politician.
Before becoming the commissioner for finance in Osun State, Oyebamiji has also held directorship positions in Omoluabi Mortgage Bank(2017), Brent Mortgage Bank(2017), Ikire Microfinance Bank(2008), Imperia Bureau De Change(2006), Roger Blue Petroleum, Lagos.
Both appointments take immediate effect.
