President Bola Tinubu has made significant appointments in the health sector, naming Dr. Mansur Kabir as the new Chairman of the board of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Additionally, Prof. Moji Adeyeye has been reappointed as the Chief Executive Officer of NAFDAC.
According to a statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu also approved the appointment and reappointment of board chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers for several agencies under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

Ngelale said the appointments are part of President Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing standards in Nigerian public health administration and ensuring the delivery of affordable and quality healthcare to all citizens.
He said the president expects the new leadership to implement effective policy frameworks for the sector’s repositioning, working under the guidance of the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Muhammad Pate.
