The National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Friday night, returned to Nigeria after three days in Saudi Arabia for Umrah (lesser hajj), POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
It is a yearly tradition for the APC presidential aspirant to perform Umrah.
The 2023 presidential aspirant was spotted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State on Friday night.
Tinubu was received at the Lagos airport by some of his allies.
The 70-year-old commands an arguably large following of political loyalists.
Earlier on Friday, members of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) picked up the presidential nomination form of the APC for him.
The support group, led by James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, picked up the form for Tinubu in Abuja on Friday afternoon.
Speaking after securing the form, Babachir Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), said Tinubu is not worried about other presidential hopefuls in the ruling party.
The former Lagos governor is up against Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi; Chris Ngige, minister of labour; Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi; Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, among others, for the APC ticket.
