BREAKING: Tinubu will lose 2023 election if… – APC Chairman, Adamu

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned that his party will lose the 2023 presidential election without the genuine support of APC governors.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, is the presidential candidate of the APC.

Adamu who spoke at the opening session of a meeting of governors, National Working Committee (NWC) and other stakeholders at the party’s national secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja, stressed the significance of governors in helping Tinubu achieve his goal in 2023.

“Being the chief executive officers of their various states, the onus of our great party lies in the hands of God and in their hands because they are the commanders of the party fortunes in their various states.

“We cannot make meaningful progress in the affairs of these states, particularly in an election year that is approaching.

“We cannot plan without the buy-in of our governors so that we can stand together, believing that we share same aspirations.

“We will plan together to see how best we can deliver the interest of the party and ensure that victory is ours in 2023 general election that is by the corner. That is the essence of this meeting,” he said.

  1. Chairman acknowledged success of his party, 2023 depends on God (very correct) and on state governors. But the question I am led to ask is : will God agree to work with some of these governors? Again, will God ever agree to work for APC? I doubt! Not with the hardships the party has heaped on us, His children. Never will the God of justice give them victory! Never! Obi is God’s choice, because it’s the turn of the south east.

    1. Sonny, agreed, enquity, justice and fairness requires presidency to come to SE, but beyond that, we don’t support criminals to rule over us in the name of politics, tribe or religion. Hence we supported Abiola, Obasanjo and Jonathan against our brothers. So if today Theodore Orji, Chimaraoke Nnamani, Andy Uba, Uzor Kalu, or Obiano dares to show up for presidency, be sure Igbos won’t support him. We will rather vote Nuhu Ribadu, Fashola, Osinbanjo, Fayemi, or Buba Marua from any part of the country. So we come out massively for Obi not merely bcoz he is Igbo, but bcoz he has the qualities we always go for. If he is a Yoruba, Hausa, Kanuri, moslem, or christian, we will still vote for him. For those who don’t know the Igbos very well, this is our objectivity that makes us excel in business and commerce: looking for the best, no sentiments.

      1. If all the igbos are like you things will surely be in the right direction, I always like a tribalised person. But most of your people are responsible for the type of minor support Obi is witnessing here in the north. They call us cows, Bandits, Boko Haram and at the same time they want our votes. Bro, think wisely and I’m assuring you that this is the cancerworm of Obi movement in the north. Do they think one region can make somebody a president in this complex entity?. Honestly you have to go back to the drawing board in order to change your way of approach to the northern electorate, though time is against you. I and some few northerners who share the same positive views for the country will surely vote for this gentleman, but mind you we are very few. And your northern associates are not helping matters by refusing to tell the electorate who Obi is and what are his missions. All these million match in the north is nothing, the real politicking starts on the election day, that is what we call northern politics. By gatheing people cheering and applauding you, one can never know those who would vote for him, and by the time he knows it would be too late. Pls stop generalising and calling northerners all types of degrading names, among them there are his supporters who really understand what he meant for the country. But they are very few because there is little or no awareness about who Obi is. Example in Katsina my state, I have never seen an office of Labour party wether in the state capital or any local govt area. It has no candidate vying for any political office in the nxt coming general election, so how do you xpect a party tonight win without a candidate?.

      2. Please, what qualities does Peter Obi have? Don’t forget to recall that he has been tested. So, try to state those qualities factually.
        Thank you.

      3. Fayemi whom you mentioned is my state governor. He is good on the dailies, not even to Ekiti pple.A propagandist like him can’t rule Nigeria.

      4. It is a lie,you vote for pDP not quality candidate. Why didn’t you vote for Olu Falae in 1999 but Obasanjo who lost his polling booth?Tell me when igbo ever vote for Apc.We are sure your vote is for PDP this time. The igbo youth will vote for Obi because they are too young to know what Tinubu did in 1999_2007.Tinubu is our own Awolowo today .He is far better in governance than ten obi put together. STOP ALL THIS ALIBI,WE ARE WISE PEOPLE.

        1. What did tinubu do for Lagos during his time as governor, Lagos was developed by federal government and igbos, and you people keep saying nonsense that it was developed by tinubu, stop the deception pls

        2. Mention one single thing ur Tinubu did as a governor and I mention what obi did, even his intl awards as a governor

        3. Why do you sound like this? With all you know about Tinubu, if Nigeria is your private business, will you hire Tinubu of today as your MD?

      5. You are right. It is not where you come from but what you have to offer. We don’t need politician we need person some one that will lead the country out of poverty. This is the time for we to keep politicle party aside and vote our person. People are saying that our vote does not count but I will asure you that this time our vote will because God himself will count

      6. You are voting obi bco he is ibo like you pple no any reason more than that. Ibo don’t vote for any body no matter how good you are once an ibo man is contesting the same post with another non ibo man.But then let me ask you boys are saying no election in you areas how can we vote for somebody whose area his pple are not allowing election to take place

      7. Mr Ogueze it is criminal of you to spell muslim the way you did. Because you can’t tell me you don’t know the correct spelling.

    2. Is there nobody as competent as him in the whole south east?. Anyway I wish him success though the hurdles are many, but with God everything is possible!.

    3. You are not been sensitive in your approach leave Apc you always wants to respond to their topics that is sabotage can’t you do your own? OBIDENT COPYCATS

    4. When God want to elevate his people that are in bandage,he will causes confusions within the so called big Parties so that they can’t see well, think we’ll,organised well and focused well.At the end the unstructured they have been hammering on will be their President comes 2023.Which is LP and its candidates Obi/Datti.

    5. Perfect! True of the Igbo character. Ony’Igbo has no patience with a man who has no values for integrity, lives of humans and the fear of God.

  2. We not spot old age for candidate now we be Wise now we youths in Nigeria we need youthful candidate to lead us we know that 70%in Nigeria we are youths but nothing this old age president can created for youth and we have knowledge youths to create good work in Nigeria but no good leadership to create them works that’s why our youths going to other countries for work

  3. Equity, justice and fairness demand that power be ceded to the South East. However, going by the parlous state of our country right now, where everything has gone south, supporting the APC to retain power after how they have plunged our economy into near abyss, is not morally right.

I think we should put the interest of our country beyond and above party. We need a disruptive polity that can usher in a paradigm shift in leadership and governance. To be fair and honest, Obi stands out going by his level of commitment, enthusiasm and disposition so far. His most sellable point of moving from consumption to production keeps him apart. Besides, health wise, Nigeria doesn’t need a sick president again.

  4. Base on the good record i investigated on these four candidates, the right person to massively vote for on this coming election 2023 is Tinubu, even though Tinubu is not fully well but he has competent deputy, i.e Shatima. We wouldn’t vote for Obi bcuz he supports terrorists, i e IPOB. And any body who supports IPOB he is also terrorist.

  5. He is gradually telling us that the northern governor’s and the North will not vote for Asiwaju that’s is their cunny way of telling you the truth, if not how can a party chairman be saying this in election Eve if not that there’s sinister move going on to truncate Asiwaju effort in the coming election? He knows what he’s saying and he mean what he said .

  6. To Ven Ogueze
The Igbos was the ONLY ETHNIC GROUP that was against the unanimous decision of other Nigeria’s ethnic groups decision to support the southwest (yoruba race) to produce the president as a way of compensating for the annulment and gruesome murder of MKO.

Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife vehemently contested against Chief Olu False in AD/APP, while Alex Ekwueme was sad after contesting and losing against OBJ.

The Igbo knew Olu False was Yoruba’s preferred candidate but chose to vote for OBJ to spite the Yoruba, after their kinsmen have lost both parties primaries.

So stop acting like a “Samritan”, the Igbo had a plot against the Yoruba, but the overwhelming support of other ethnic groups subdued your evil plan.

We will support an Igbo candidate any day the Igbo genuinely support us.

We have not forgotten the Igbos antecedents of how Azikiwe betrayed Awolowo and how Awolowo was stoned at Aba.

    1. @ lagbaja
I am surprised that somebody of your calibre still exist in Nigeria, (what a venomous being). You wouldn’t let go your past until it drag you to hell when everybody is talking of emancipating Nigeria ? It seems to me you landed into the country just recently. You blinded your eye and ears to know what APC led govt has done to even Yoruba land… how many Yoruba families had been plunged to mourning by the activities of Fulani killer herdsmen since your governors debunked Fed govt’s RUGA, COLONISATION, Fulanization agenda?
Just this week your kinsman from the USA to invest in his fathers land was murdered by the killer herdsmen.
Just tell me anything good/achievement about APC led fed gov’t?
Jagaban shoot himself on the leg by telling Nigerians that “ITS MY TURN TO RULE NIGERIA ” and be called mr. president, he also vowed to continue from where Buhari stoped.
I can’t vote for Tinubu not because of his age, person or religion no, but because of his party ideology…believe me or not “a snake can never birth alligator,” a popular adage said “show me your friend and I’ll tell you whom you are..!”
I advice you to mortify this politics of bitterness, politics of hatred, politics of animosity, politics of backwardness, politics of tribalism, politics of inequality, politics of nepotism (characterised by APC led govt) from your veins and let’s talk of salvaging a new Nigeria.

    2. To @lagbaja
I wonder why most Yoruba elders keep lying to their children. Probably because, they keep being ‘taken care of’ by Asiwaju. That makes them either say nothing, or lie to you whenever they must speak.

It baffles to hear OLU FALAE the other day. He only found reasons to condemn the IGBO people. And miraculously forgot to mention that OGBO NAYA ONU was the APP presidential candidate (with 9 States governors), yet, he willingly stepped down for FALAE of AD ( with just 6 States governors). I bet on my life, no Yoruba man can do that for anyone.

Finally, EKWUEME had more reason to be angrier than WIKE today, he practically built PDP! Yet, after losing the monetized primary election, he whole heartedly supported OBASANJO.

We can all go on with the half-truths and keep the regeneration of hatred. Truth remains that we are in this Nigeria together and feel the heat together. Or do you think that the IGBOS are the most poverty ridden tribe in this country? No!

  7. APC as lost already before 2022. Those Satanic leaders are already Dead and forgotten in the mind of God. What will see physically is a fake dream.

  8. You cannot eat your cake and have it back. No ethnic tribe in Nigeria hate Igbos, they are the problem of themselves.
We need a president who will tell us his plans for Nigeria both her activities and policies wise.
These will be based on their previous antecedents.

  9. Perfect! True of the Igbo character. Ony’Igbo has no patience with a man who has no values for integrity, lives of humans and the fear of God.
