BREAKING: Tinubu’s govt launches National Youth Dialogue to empower young Nigerians

The Federal Government has launched the National Youth Dialogue to empower young Nigerians and foster a sense of patriotism among the youth.

The initiative was announced by the Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, on Wednesday.

Olawande said the National Youth Dialogue is designed to address some of the most pressing challenges faced by young Nigerians today, including unemployment and lack of entrepreneurial opportunities.

According to him, the program will enhance entrepreneurship skills, provide cooperative training, facilitate access to resources, and foster networking opportunities among the youth.

His words: “It’s time to exchange ideas and support one another. The dialogue is a platform to address the big problem of unemployment and find solutions.

“Let’s work together to create a brighter future for ourselves and our nation!”

He also stressed the necessity of creating an enabling environment where young Nigerians can thrive, noting that while not everyone can be a civil servant, senator, or minister, with the right support, everyone can succeed and make a living.

During his announcement, Olawande outlined several government initiatives aimed at empowering the youth. These include the students’ loan program, youth investment fund and Nigerian Youth Academy.

“Government is committed to renewing the hope of this country and investing in its young people,” Olawande declared.

He revealed that over 80,000 young Nigerians are currently undergoing digital training as part of a pilot program, with the ambitious goal of equipping 7 million youths with in-demand skills within the next two years.
