Tragedy has struck the family of the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, as the lawmaker mourns the death of his son, Victor Moro, who was killed in a fatal auto crash along the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa State.
Victor, who had only recently returned to Nigeria after completing his studies in Turkey, was said to be preparing to begin the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme before the unfortunate incident occurred.
According to sources close to the family, the young man was travelling from his hometown to attend to personal matters when the accident happened, claiming his life on the spot.
The heartbreaking incident came barely 24 hours after the burial of Senator Moro’s grandson, compounding the family’s grief in what relatives have described as an unimaginable double tragedy.
Friends, colleagues, and political associates of the Benue-born senator have since been trooping to his residence to commiserate with the family. Many have taken to social media to express their condolences and pray for strength for the lawmaker during this difficult period.
